Itinerary Builder
Build professional day-by-day tour itineraries using a drag-drop interface. Create, share, and print itineraries in minutes.
Creating an Itinerary
- Go to Itineraries in the sidebar and click + New Itinerary
- Enter the Title (e.g. "Sri Lanka Cultural Heritage 10 Days")
- Enter the Start Date (optional — used to show calendar dates per day)
- Enter the Destination
- Add a brief Description shown at the top of the printed itinerary
- Click Create Itinerary
Adding Days
In the itinerary builder, click + Add Day to add a new day. Each day has:
- Day Number — auto-incremented (Day 1, Day 2...)
- Day Title — e.g. "Arrival in Colombo"
- Date — auto-calculated from start date if set
- Accommodation Note — hotel name shown in itinerary summary
- Meals Included — breakfast, lunch, dinner toggles
Adding Items to Each Day
Within each day card, click + Add Item. An item represents one activity, hotel, transport leg, or meal during that day. Fill in:
- Type — select from the item types below
- Title — e.g. "Sigiriya Rock Fortress Visit"
- Description — full details shown to the customer
- Time — optional start time (e.g. 09:00)
- Duration — optional (e.g. "2 hours")
Item Types

Drag & Drop Reordering
All items are draggable. To reorder:
- Within a day — drag the item handle (⠿) up or down
- Between days — drag an item from one day card and drop it into another
Changes save automatically — a small "Saved" indicator appears after each change.
Printing & Sharing
From the itinerary view, click Print Itinerary. This opens a print-optimised page with your agency branding, all days and items, and a clean layout. Use Ctrl+P / Cmd+P → Save as PDF to create a PDF to send to customers.
Linking to a Booking
When creating or editing a booking, select the itinerary in the Linked Itinerary dropdown. Once linked:
- The itinerary appears in the Customer Portal for the customer to view
- Day summaries appear in the Invoice as an itinerary overview
- Staff assignments in the Calendar are linked per booking day
